At Four Star Mushrooms, you’ll tour a Chicago indoor farm and follow gourmet mushrooms from raw substrate through sterilization, incubation, fruiting, and packaging. The English-language visit lasts about 90 minutes, begins at noon on Oakley Boulevard, and welcomes up to 25 people.
“This was lovely - lots of information about mushrooms and how this organization interacts with the restaurant scene in Chicago. Would not particularly recommend for young children, although nobody seemed to mind that my kids (5 and 3) were there and wanting to touch the forklift (they did not touch the forklift). It's definitely a tour for grownups, but I appreciated everyone's tolerance. Thank you.”
